MEET THE CHAIRS
Head Chair
Sofia Piazza (ISC) Greeting Delegates,
My name is Sofia Piazza, and I'm currently a sophomore at the International School of Curitiba. I will be serving as your Head-Chair for ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council), and I'm beyond excited to work with my co-chairs and every delegate present in my committee. BRAMUN is an excellent opportunity to learn current issues that are impacting our society and critically think about how we can make our society a better place. It shows us how MUN can be something else apart from learning, but building our character, creating friendships, and having fun! For ECOSOC this year, we are planning on introducing topics that will be engaging and diverse to debate, so all delegates can enjoy a fruitful and multilateral learning experience. Chairing BRAMUN is a unique experience. The amount of diversity present in its committees makes it a special place, together with a beachy (truly Brazilian) environment. Additionally, BRAMUN's leadership team dedication to professionalism and excellence guarantees an engaging experience for each member, encouraging personal development and establishing a feeling of global civic duty. I couldn't be more honoured to serve as you ECOSOC Head-Chair! Please delegates, if you have any questions or concerns, let me know and I will love to talk to everyone! See you soon :) |
Chair
Isadora Demoro (TBSRJ) Hi delegates!
My name is Isadora Demoro and I am honoured to be one of the chairs for the Economic and Social Council for BRAMUN 2025! I'm currently a Junior at the British School of Rio de Janeiro and couldn't be more excited to be taking part in this opportunity of chairing a committee of such global importance and am truly looking forward to meeting you all during the conference! I couldn't be more excited to chair at BRAMUN, something that has always been one of my dreams in MUN since I was first introduced to it. With that, I aim to provide my delegates the same memorable committee experiences I've had throughout these years. Moreover, since a young age, my brothers always encouraged me to do MUN, giving me a safe space to try it out and flourish. I aim to create this same safe environment, where delegates feel comfortable and at liberty to excel during debate, growing throughout the debates their MUN skills and values. I am truly looking forward to what BRAMUN 2025 will bring! Aside from MUN, you can always find me scrapbooking, editing my music playlists or painting. If you have any questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me at [email protected] , I'll be more than happy to help. |
Chair
Laura Soares (TBSRJ) Hello delegates! My name is Laura Soares, I am a sophomore at The British school of Rio de Janeiro and I am excited to be chairing BRAMUN’s 2025 Economic and Social Council alongside Isadora and Sofia. My first BRAMUN was my third ever conference and first time attending an Economic and Social Council. I remember myself then, carefully watching the chairs and aspiring to one day take on their position, as they did with such grace; making chairing the EcoSoc council in 2025 be particularly remarkable for me. Seeing myself go from a confused, nevertheless ambitious, delegate to now; a dedicated and confident chair has to be one of the most fulfilling experiences. For this reason, I believe BRAMUN is more than just a conference; it is evidence of my personal growth and achievements. If I could go back and talk to my younger self, I would tell her to persevere and believe in herself and her abilities. Even though I cannot tell this to my younger self, I want to pass this knowledge onto my future BRAMUN delegates. I hope to make the Economic and Social Council unforgettable and create passionate and open-minded delegates, sharing my love and commitment to MUN. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me! I am beyond excited to meet all of you! Laura Soares |
