MEET THE CHAIRS
Hello everyone, my name is João Obst, and I am thrilled to be chairing Special Committee 1 at BRAMUN. I am a junior at the Pan American School of Porto Alegre, and I have been a member of PASPOA's MUN Club since I was 11 years old. During these past six years, I have fallen in love with the world of diplomacy. There are no words to describe the feeling of giving an opening speech in front of a roomful of delegates or the sensation of your amendment passing by a small margin. These moments are the reason for which I am most excited to chair at BRAMUN. I have grown so much as a person through MUN, and I want to provide my delegates with everything there is to cherish about this experience. As a chair, I want to assume more responsibilities and provide delegates with a safe and comfortable environment. I have a lot of experience as a delegate, having assumed this role in several conferences. Not only do I strive to be a role model, but I also embrace the challenge of moderating debate and ensuring a wonderful time for all delegates. BRAMUN 2025 is an opportunity for me to grow and learn new things, and I cannot wait to do so alongside all of you! I hope we all have the best time at such an amazing conference.

Hello everyone! My name is Isabella Klien and I am a freshman at TBSRJ's Urca Site. I'm extremely honoured and grateful to be the Chair for the Special 1 Committee at BRAMUN 2025. It's honestly a dream come true being able to chair at BRAMUN, such a prestigious conference. Being part of BRAMUN 2024 showed me how much work the whole leadership team puts into making the conference unforgettable, so I'm so happy to be part of this wonderful team. I hope that this committee will be as unforgettable to you as it will be to me. MUN has become a really important aspect of my life since my first conference back in 2020. MUN has made me love debating various different topics to knowing how to reference UNCLOS as almost second nature, something I never thought I would say. Outside of school, I love dancing ballet, reading and going shopping, so you can usually find me at my school's library or at the mall. See all of you at BRAMUN 2025!
