MEET THE CHAIRS
My name is Alice Guetta, and I am a junior at the British School of Rio de Janeiro. My MUN journey began in the sixth grade, and over the years, it has shaped me both personally and academically. For me, MUN isn’t just about debating or negotiation; it’s about empathy. It has taught me how to bridge differences in the face of conflict and truly understand different perspectives.
As a second-time head chair at BRAMUN, I hope to provide all delegates with the same invaluable lessons MUN has taught me. I’ve always chaired special committees because I love how they bring out creativity in debates. As an avid reader, weaving narratives into discussions has been one of my favorite parts of MUN. It makes every conference unique! If you find yourself in the American Progress Commission, the committee I’ll be chairing in 2025, I hope you’ll enjoy it just as much as I do! What excites me most about BRAMUN is the opportunity to meet people from all over Brazil. I’m sure we’ll all build connections that last far beyond the conference. After all, what better way to find like-minded people than through passionate discussion? If you’re reading this, I hope you’re one of those people! I can’t wait to meet you all! See you in Bahia! |
My name is Isabela Wiedemann, and I am a sophomore at the Panamerican School of Porto Alegre. I am beyond excited to serve as chair of the Special 2 Committee at BRAMUN 2025. I joined the MUN club at my school in grade 7, but it took my first conference, in 2021, for Model United Nations to become one of my greatest passions. I love MUN, as it is a space where I can not only practice my academic skills, such as: debating, learning, diplomacy, and real-world events, but also meet amazing people and create perplexing memories. I have made long-lasting friends and connections in MUN conferences, and I hope that other delegates can also experience this at BRAMUN. I have always been a delegate and chair in special and crisis committees because I just adore history and chaos. In 2023, BRAMUN was my first in-person conference, where I had one of the best simulations of my life. I hope, as a chair, to be able to make delegate experiences at BRAMUN as fun and engaging as mine was. I am genuinely excited to contribute to this exceptional conference and to facilitate an atmosphere where delegates can thrive, learn, and create long-lasting connections.
