MEET THE CHAIRS
Hello!
My name is Helena Jonathan and I’m currently a junior at the British School, Rio de Janeiro. I am thrilled to chair this special committee alongside Enzo and can’t wait to meet you all! MUN has been one of my favourite extracurriculars since year 10 and has really shaped my interest in history and politics as well as my confidence as a speaker and problem solver. Most of all, though, I love MUN because of how exciting and fun it can be to engage in discussions, be creative and meet new people from all over the country. Special committees in particular have my heart, as there are so many different ways that they can be structured and there is always a level of unpredictability that makes everything all the more interesting. This will be my second BRAMUN conference, and I really hope I can help make this edition as enjoyable as it was in my experience as a delegate. Make sure to keep an eye out for other activities like the knowledge bowl to make the most out of the whole conference. Outside of MUN and school you can find me drawing, watching cartoons, listening to music, rollerblading, or just sitting with my cats. If you have any questions at all, feel free to contact me! See you soon! Helena Jonathan |
Hi delegates, my name is Enzo Agostini, and I'm currently a sophomore at PASPOA. I'll be chairing the 5th Special Committee alongside Helena, my head chair. I'm very excited to be a chair at this year's BRAMUN conference and am looking forward to the growth I'm sure I'll be seeing in all our delegates. What I value most about MUN are the opportunities for improvement in communication and social skills that it presents. When I first joined my school's MUN club, I was very shy and had a tough time speaking publicly. With the help of the many delegates and chairs I met while going to different conferences, I was able to grow not only as a public speaker, but also as a person. Now I'm glad to have the chance to help delegates in their processes of evolution while also evolving as a chair. This is only my second time chairing an MUN conference, so I'm hoping to have learned more about this job by the end of the conference. I hope you can all take what you learn from BRAMUN 2025 with you for the rest of your lives, and I'm looking forward to meeting you all very soon!
